New Britain Symphony
59th Season 2007-2008

Dear New Britain Symphony Orchestra friends, public and supporters:

Here we are with the entire 2006-07 Season behind us now, my first as your Music Director, and as I look back over the rehearsals and concerts that we played I have a very real feeling of  musical and artistic growth, the happy result of the musicians and I working together towards one common goal, better and better music-making.  I have also enjoyed very much speaking to you before the concerts about the program at hand, as well as going out into the community to speak about the Symphony to civic groups who play an important role in helping to support the Symphony.  We shall continue to do all of that in the future.

And now looking to that future, our next Season, I hope you are looking forward as enthusiastically as I am to the music to come.  Each concert is designed to present music and soloists in great variety, all works are masterpieces of the repertoire, a challenge to the Orchestra to  play beautifully and a musical gift to you, our dear public.  We are doing  well, I think, and now I must  ask each and every one of you to extend your interest in the Orchestra.  Reach out to a neighbor, a relative…bring them with you to our concerts.  The concerts are for you and  for the Orchestra’s continued success we need to have our ticket-buyers and audience grow in numbers.  Help to make that happen, do your part, help us to grow…for the future musical delights that we all will enjoy.

See you next October 7th when off we go into our great new Season!.
