John Tedeschi - Schaunard/Customs House Guard
John Tedeschi is an emerging Verdi and bel canto baritone who includes Posa, Enrico, Figaro, Di Luna, Escamillo, Sweeney Todd and Prince Yeletsky among his repertoire. He is currently enjoying his sixth year as a professor of voice at the University of Hartford/Hartt School, Theater Division. He has appeared with the Baltimore Orioles singing the National Anthem as well as numerous concert endeavors including the baritone soloist in Judas Maccabeaus, Messiah, St. Matthew Passion. Mr. Tedeschi recently sang Renato in Un Ballo in Maschera with Prelude to Performance in NYC, Amonasro in Aida with Center City Opera in Philadelphia, Germont in La Traviata with the BMCC Orchestra in NYC and Morales (Escamillo cover) in Carmen with New Orleans Opera, Ko-Ko in The Mikado with Wichita Grand Opera, King Melchior in Amahl and the Night Visitors with The Mostly Baroque Players and Count Almaviva in Le Nozze di Figaro with Osh Opera in New York City. Mr. Tedeschi is a graduate of Boston University and is a student of Mark Oswald. He is pleased to be making his debut with the New Britan Symphony tonight.
